The weather wasn't great, but wasn't bad either. We managed to get out. Seas were a it bumpy, took a mild spanking in the afernoon. Dragged baits around after a late launch (slight delay due to a minor repair on the steering hydraulic.), first Dolphin hit the deck at 0833 hrs. Slow pickings through the day put a toal of 20 Dolphin in th ebox w, largest at 33 pounds. One was a peanut, the others were Slings near Gaff size, and Gaffers. Two unimpressive Kings joinned them in the box. Cleared lines at 1630 hrs, and the 2 hour run to the dock was bumpy with a sprinkling of rain. Not bad. A fun day with friends and my share of the fillets is in the 20 pound range.

Dolphin and Kings were the only game yesterday. The approaching storm gave things lock jaw. We had to work for what we got, and the closer the system came, the slower the bite got.

I guess things will be slow here for a few days after this thing moves on up the coast.

I suspect the bite will be off for a few days. Could be a good thing. I won't feel so bad about being land locked because of the honey do list! LOL

Sandy's right Bob, everyone has extra duties on these trips, you can't just sit in the chair and turn the little cranky thing to drag fish to the boat. Sandy will drive and find the fish, you'll chum them up for us, and I'll run the blender...
Rich, I hope it has been nothing more serious than getting weathered out, or the honey do list, that has kept you off the water. Wouldn't want you or yours to be having health issues or any of the other crap that life throws at us to keep us off the water!

Rich, I know the feeling... I'm starting to think I may need to add a shot of Geritol to my blender concoctions!! LOL
Sandy, I wanted to be sure that the farm boy understood what I was saying. I was afraid that if I told him to "REEL", he might think he was supposed to do one of those square dances they do in the barn when the harvest is done... LOL

Don't get into the habit of yelping like a dog if you come down here to fish with me!!My swamp dragon may take a liking to you.
He took a liking to one of my fishing buddies today and, I got to watch him walk on water and, squeal like a little girl while he headed to the boat LOL

Sandy, I guess I have one advantage, I won't be able to see that critter of yours while he polices your fishing spot, that should cut down on my squealing! LOL But if that swamp dragon of yours roars and breathes fire in my direction, I might run on water!!
I get the feeling that if you're going to make noises like a dog on a sunny Southern around that critter, you might as well use mustard for sunscreen... I'm thinking that he'll like it on his hot dog as he takes a bite out of your buns!! LOL

He may roar but, I have never seen one breath fire LOL.The worst thing he may do is try to get chummy with you when you catch a fish and,.He may follow you around to catch any crabs you may kick out of hiding, that is what makes folks nerves.
