It's not yellow, Bananas are yellow..... Bananas on teh water are bad luck.... This boat is GOLDEN PAPAYA!! I wouldn't get any respect if I showed up at the dock sitting IN a banana.

oh i forgot about the bad luck banana at sea. why is that and where did it come. surely an old salt like you knows.

The short answer is that bananas didn't store well in the holds of sailing ships, rotting bananas stink, turn to a liquid goo that clogged scuppers. Plus they attracted vermin and other pests. Sailor's nightmare on those long trading journies.
