I checked the NLS download service, not much on fishing, and nothing about Jim's book.

If I'm not pushing the envelope here. Maybe you can buy a copy and have your wife read you fishing bed time stories or I could try and read it into a cassette Player for you with Jim's Permission of course.

I appreciate the offer Rich, it is a very kind offer. I feel I must decline though. I will put in a request that it be added to the digital bookshelves of the NLS and wait. I'm hoping that requests and use of the new service will make it grow.

LOL
One of the best features of my talking book player is the speed control, even the "professional" readers sometimes need to be spurred on or reined in at times!! LOL

And by the way. The second book will be out as soon as I am done fighting with the editor... I hate this process!

Jim, Thanks for the info. the screen reader software I have at present is no longer filling my needs, and I am in the process of picking the next. (My old stuff is meant for low vision people who need audio to supplement. I need to find one that I like that is meant to be used in audio mode all the time.) But if the download will convert easily over to my digital book player format, I can circumvent that software. My wife got me this player for Christmas and I still haven't put it through its paces. (Just been too happy to have books in an easy to get and portable player. (No longer dealing with the cassettes that they used for the blind (had to order through the mail through NLS, and were so old and well used that problems happened a lot) and they played on a format that required a specialized player.
Sorry to get into a rant in a thread of yours Jim. When I had my full sight, I was an avid reader, and now I'm on a little crusade to keep audio books EASILY accessible to the blind. I could go on, but this probably isn't the place for me to start really screaming from my soapbox.

Brian, have used Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic? Just wondering because that is where my wife was downsized from... She was the VP of Development (head money grubber). Although I am a major fan of what they do, their not on my top ten list...
