If you have a lot of moss, grass and stuff try a weedless frog lure and hop it over and through the moss/grass. I have had great luck with the scrum frog when I couldn't get anything else in there. If the water is pretty warm (80 degrees + ) they are probably around deep submerged stumps and drop off's. Have you tried a jig and pig?

have you tried the new gulp baits? i LOVE em. the jerk shad baby bass were killer when i had them. i'm out now and need to get more. they are little hard to find in anything but just a few worms. need a BPS for a really good selection. they have a new tub that look good. expensive but oh yeah. and now you can put them back in the pack after they have been in the lake. that is a good improvement. i have wasted so much money on live bait that these are worth it to me. they don't hold together as well as ole plastics but they are bio so you can toss them over the boat when you are done. no yuck melty plastics found under the cooler months later. blech. they dry out and are no good if you don't put them back in the tub. watch the dog, they love them and will eat them when they get the chance. not good if still on the hook. here fla the rule when they are bedding in the spring is lizards. try some lizards. gulp hasn't produced lizards yet, still waiting. they have a frog tho. i haven't used it. i have lots of the worms and like them well enough but i found that the jerk shad and esp the green bass one was the best i have found so far. i switched to these after my trip to the keys with bri and his go to guilde used them exclusivly for the trout and really talked them up so tried a package. be carefull this is fishermans crack!!!!! you'll find yourself skimming over all the stick baits and reg plastics and going to these. all of sudden i have hundreds of dollars of tackle that i could care less about. it only takes me one or two hangups on the weeds with conventional stuff and i am back to my classic rigged weedless worms and jerks. i can pull them thru the worst scum. i find that if they aren't bittin these then they aren't bittin. period. spring is so hard with the spawn. once they have fry youlll be able to get them bite out of aggression. esp lizards and small shad. anything that would eat their babies. anyway, i'm no pro but bass is my game and pretty much what i chase all over fla and the rest of the country. i'll put in a photo of a fish that caught out of a small farm pond three times in a row on the same gulp bait. what fun.
