Some stuff I like to use is top water like poppers,plastic mice,and plastic frogs.

Unfortunately I have only caught one pike in my life and that was by accident. I was fishing for bass using a minnow spinnerbait.

well you get a strong rod , and i use 20-30 lb mono thin a 2or 4/0 hook run it throw the back skin of the mouse. the popsickle stick you put a hole in it tie a line on it. i use a 6 lb spool of 350 yds. put the 6line on a stick in the ground or on the boat eney way so it can run off fast thin i take the mouse and tie it to the popsickel stick with a loos wrap of the 20lb line cast. after the mouse has landed in the water i pule the popsickle stick out from under him and that makes him swim and we all no the reast of it .. works good fore bass to . i no wont your thinking a lot of troble but after you do it a few times its not that bad

Except for the mouse. LOL How do you know if the mouse can swim or not, Do you test him in a tub first?
