I have a friend that owns flooded quarry and man the fishing is awesome! It doesn't have a big water surface at around 3 acres but its deep, like I charted a few spots at 150 feet. This is great because its not hard to find the fish and they are big on average. Some of the noteables I have caught is a few Largemouth bass in the 7 - 9 pound range and big channel cats. I caught one that was around 40lbs, yes a channel cat. Crappies average 2 - 3 lbs Bass average 4 - 5 lbs Cats average 12 - 15 lbs bluegill average 1lb
and we catch them all hand over fist. We also release all fish.
Anyone else fish a flooded quarry?
