Put the boat in around 11am this morning and, started cast netting bait.Had a bait well full by noon and, parked next to a big oyster rake that had a deep hole at the edge of it and, started working the red fish.Between my fishing buddy and, I we had landed and, released 9 reds over 30" (thats around 15pounds each) by the end of the afternoon , we kept two each 23"fish for the table .Out of the water by 4 pm . The day went off with out a hitch .The only trouble I had all day was that I had a strike on a rod that was in a rod holder that was so strong that I couldn't git the rod out of the holder before it broke off.

I think it was a big red fish from the way that it ran.

I don't think they had a fish on board less than 30 pounds.

He said that he didn't have time to play with the long rod.He had two newbies on board that had never seen the ocean much less had a fish on that tried to take the rod away from them.

I got to meet some SC Redfish up close and personal last week..... Friendly buggers waved to my neice, but didn't like being brought to the boat on the end of a line to shake my hand. As a matter of fact they fought that idea pretty hard!!! I can't tell you where I got them, it's top secret, very hush hush, shoot you if you tell.... (Hint, sailboats like to park there.)
