This morning I had coffee with a friend and, his father. His father is in his 80s and, up until today had only fish in fresh water and, thought a 12" trout was a wall hanger. As it normally happens the conversation got around to fishing. My friend is a fare fisherman but mostly off shore and, he didn't want to take his dad out into the ocean with the weather we have been having lately. I told him that if he kept it to himself I would put him and, his dad on some fish so, I broke out a inshore chart and, put a x on the spot.We went over bait and, placement and, I sent them on there way.I didn't go because I figured they wanted some time together on the water. this afternoon they walked into my shop and, the smiles said it all !! They got on the fish as soon as they got bait into the water and, had drags smoking all morning. The only complaint I got was that the red fish I put them on were some real bruisers that I had been messing with for the last few weeks and, the older gentleman had a herd time with them to the point that some of them were to strong for him to handle. The last thing the older gentleman said as they were leaving was that his idea of a trophy had changed and, that he just had the best day of fishing he has ever had . I would have loved to have watched them catch those big bruisers but, the idea of letting them have that experience by them selfs was a good one. I hope you folks can share some thing like this with some one some day!

Pretty work there Sandy! You did it right by giving them what they needed and letting them go. That will probably be a great memory for your friend to pass along to his childeren and their children. Thanks for sharing!
