The last week of June we saw shools and I mean SCHOOLS of small Dolphin (Mahi Mahi, not the mammal). I am talking the smallest Dolphin I have ecer seen. I have heard of guys catching "bacon strips", but this is the first for me. We were dragging skirts (blue/white was popular with the few gaffers we did find) and the fish were smaller than the lures. Some Blackfin around, all footballs, but mighty fine sushi. A Blue Marlin showed in the spread but wasn't interested for long.
Did pull some Muttons up out of some wrecks in the 150 depths. Hitting cut Bonito.
In the backcountry, there were plenty of small cuda hitting trolled baits. Some resident Tarpon, hitting the bloodline of Blackfin. Mangrove Snapper, we got nothing to really brag about, just good eating size, on shrimp. (Live and Gulp)
Hot and humid, bring the bug spray, but fun!

No problem Bob, well, other than I wish I had some impressive fish to report about catching.... Oh well, I guess it just means I will have to go back and try again!
