OK, You probably have started to think that I"m starting to slip but, Some of us old guys have learned a few tricks over the years and, this is one that I'm willing to share . I have kept a aquarium in my home for years and, it can be one of the best gages around for understanding what the fish in the general area are doing. It all started when I came in from fishing a hot spot that had been a shore bet for the last few days with out a bite and, noticed that the fish in the tank were hanging close to the bottom of the tank and, showing little activity.I looked at the tank the following morning and, the fish were acting the same sluggish way as the night before.I went out and, fished all day and, got skunked. I figured that I would watch the tank and, go back out when the fish in the tank got active. The next day the fish were up and, feeding so, I figured I would go out and, give it a try. I fished the same area on the same tide and, the same bait as I had fished the two days before and, had a banner day with bent rod for the better part of it ! From that day on I check the tank and, if they are not feeding I don't go.

Very interesting Sandy, I'll take note of my tank from now on.
What kind of fish were/are you keeping?
