As the water temperatures drop late fall in the lakes the bass are slowing down. So you must think slow when fishing for them. Slow presentation is key to getting more solid strikes. For instance, I like to use bigger blades on my spinners which not only flash more but retrieve slower. But whatever lure you are using run it slower.

Good point Bob, The cooler weather is the time to troll inshore for trout and, the slower you troll the better the action.I tell folks that if they are not getting hang ups they are trolling to fast .
