I purchased a Tenkara fly fishing outfit and DVD. This is the art of Japanese fly fishing dating back about 200 years. It is just rod, line and fly. It is simalar to the 15th centry of fly fishing but instead of daubing you cast the line. The rod is 12' -13' telescoping graphite rod using a furled or level line. Just got it and I haven't had a chance to use it. They say that it will handle a 18 inch trout. I found out about it on Facebook and saw it at the Catskill Fly Fishing Museum Center. Just in case your interested. I'm going back to Woodstock this August to see Crosby, Stills and Nash plus Tom Petty.
